Olympic Games

British Safety Council & Olympic Games project – health & safety training for 125,000 contractors in multiple languages and locations.

01

The client and their environment

British Safety Council (Britsafe) is a leading global Health & Safety charity offering a wide range training and qualifications at all levels.

Britsafe required a robust LMS (Learning Management System) solution to deliver online Health and Safety training to contractors working on site during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

02

The training challenge

Learners in multiple countries needed secure access to training materials in five languages (including Spanish, Russian and Chinese).

This presented significant challenges for providing the highest possible accessibility, availability and performance for diverse audiences with differing learning requirements.

03

Our solution

With training required for around 125,000 contractors in multiple languages, we developed a full-custom LMS solution.

Learners could watch a series of videos – created in partnership with a third party content development specialist – and answer a quiz specific to key areas of workplace Health & Safety best practice.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners received a certificate.

04

The result

The multilingual LMS solutions provided secure access to video-and quiz-based training materials from various locations across the UK and internationally – exactly what Britsafe needed:
We chose to partner with Webanywhere because of their unique ability to truly ‘stretch beyond’ to deliver a highly complex project within budget and very tight timescales.
