The Solutions Architect / Technical Consultant is a key role within Webanywhere, responsible for translating diverse client requirements into a deliverable solution and then supporting the development of that solution through to production. You will be expected to bring industry-wide best-practice to all of their work whilst maintaining a broad range of technical knowledge. You will need to work very closely with other resources and to communicate effectively within and external to Webanywhere.

The Main Duties Will Include

  • Facilitator of technical workshops and learning technology consultancy internally and externally
  • Act as the technical client interface in order to solicit complex requirements and translate them into a fully planned, workable and deliverable solution, challenging clients and internal teams where appropriate to deliver the optimum solution
  • Engage with clients to understand their learning technology ecosystems and design integrations following interoperability standards
  • Be the main technical liaison between the development team and the client. Be the liaison between project and engineering teams, assisting with resource identification and booking
  • Understand the priorities of work and manage time and effort accordingly, in order to provide technical input and support across all relevant projects
  • Offer appropriate solution, service, development and technical knowledge to clients and internal teams
  • Principal author of all technical documentation, including designs, scope, specifications
  • Work with Lead Developers to scope and estimate requirements, to ensure that the estimates are robust and that the solution is deliverable within the chosen platforms and technologies. Work with development resources to plan work and assist with delivery as dictated by the project
  • Support Bid team for proposed solutions, and comfortable challenging bids and proposals using technical understanding
  • Proactively identify risk and manage unknowns within projects and on behalf of internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage with client to proactively manage their technical expectations
  • Work closely with testing team to write and agree user acceptance criteria, support testing effort and be the first point of contact for any testing queries
  • Sign-off deliverables in order to ensure quality and that the client requirements have been met
  • Together with Support Specialists, provide first-class client customer support service experience

The Skills Required For This Role Are

  • Demonstrable experience creating complex IT solutions using Industry standards and best-practice, excellent understanding across a wide range of technologies, processes, tools and systems
  • Some experience working with Learning Management Systems
  • Proficient working knowledge of Architecture principles and design methods, able to apply these to solutions and able to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience of consulting on technology ecosystems and recommending process improvements, new tools and solutions
  • Understanding of architecture outside of LMS, able to understand enterprise-scale solutions and how Webanywhere solutions will integrate within a wider ecosystem
  • Some hands-on experience with coding, preferable in the following: JavaScript, PHP, SQL
  • Past hands-on experience with Client/Server architectures, design and implementation of APIs for use within a wider technology ecosystem e.g. HR systems, portals, LMS, LRS etc
  • Proficiency in methods and techniques for structured reviews, including reviews of non-functional requirements, technical documents, test plans, business cases and other key deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience as a developer/analyst/consultant  responsible for end-to-end project development of bespoke projects and solutions delivery including client liaison, budget, schedule, and problem-solving
  • Sound knowledge of user story mapping and other requirements gathering techniques preferred

Ideally You Will Also Have

  • An understanding of the e-learning or digital/media communications business with broad knowledge of delivery and development platforms
  • Experience in developing web applications, websites, e-learning or software in a competitive, commercial environment
  • Experience in defining measurement strategies
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with xAPI and SCORM

The role of Senior Business Development Executive of Workplace Learning is a critical role within the Webanywhere team. The Senior Business Development Executive is responsible for representing sales, marketing and client services at the executive level of the organization. The Senior Business Development Executive is also responsible for ensuring the profitability of work undertaken by the Workplace Learning division for our clients. This individual will report to the Vice President of Workplace Learning in the UK. Our USA office is based in Fulton Market in the West Loop of Chicago.

We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, fun and flexible to take Webanywhere on it’s next phase of growth in USA. We recently won a Gold Brandon Hall Excellence award in Unique Learning Technology for our work with our client JetBlue, and we have an enviable customer base of Fortune 500 customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan, deliver and review the division’s effectiveness in line with division targets, outputs and outcomes
  • Maintain effective communications with the Vice President and other managers, employees and clients
  • Manage, monitor and maintain budgets agreed by the Vice President and take corrective action in conjunction with the Managing Director or their designated financial representative
  • Adhere to, and implement, all HR policies and procedures
  • Actively market our solutions and build strong relationships with clients and prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels
  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence
  • Hit sales revenue targets for key vertical markets and territories following the company business plan
  • Continue growth of Webanywhere’s most valuable clients
  • Generate leads through professional networking
  • Lead the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and close by working with clients, prospects, Webanywhere’s development team and solution experts

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years previous business development experience
  • Proven record of strong sales results where the individual has met and/or exceeded annual goals and has been a valued contributor
  • Strong knowledge of sales process of eLearning technologies in the corporate market, in particular with Fortune 500 companies
  • Proven record of prospecting new clients or prospecting within existing clients at senior levels of organizations
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to international teams
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Tech savvy and strong knowledge of the latest market trends
