Incorporated in 2003, Webanywhere works with over 4,000 corporates and educational organizations, supporting over 3 million learners worldwide. With a background in the education sector, we have successfully transitioned into corporate learning, enjoying rapid growth in both sectors internationally. We have customers across the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, and the Asia/Pacific region, ranging from small schools to multinational corporations.

2003

Hello World! Our MD, Sean sets up Webanywhere Inc.

2004

We deliver our first website to Holy Family School, Keighley.

2005

We move into our first office space in Keighley.

2006

We become a Moodle Partner and expand to a larger office.

2007

We launch our first homegrown product: Spellanywhere.

2008

We release School Jotter one of the first school-specific CMS’s.

2009

We release Learner Journey ePortfolios for schools.

2010

Webanywhere Inc. founded in the USA. Our primary school VLE Learnanywhere – is released.

2011

We exhibit at the BETT show for the first time. We create Education Primary, Secondary and Workplace Learning division.

2012

We reach 100 employees. We become an approved supplier to the Government Procurement Service in the UK. Webanywhere Sp. zoo founded and office opened in Katowice, Poland.

2013

Our 10th birthday!

2014

We launch our School Jotter 2 website platform and apps. We move to brand new office space in central Leeds.

2015

Office opened in downtown Chicago to service our growing Fortune 500 clients

2016

We launched our content factory and mobile app.

2017

We release Sound Branch to join the Voice Revolution.

2018

We launch Watch and Learn our first knowledge-sharing platform with video.

2019

We organize Learning Summit a conference dedicated to Learning Technology.

2020

Launch of Event Anywhere a virtual event platform, designed to make online events more personable.

2021

Continuation of expansion and development of own products.

Sean Gilligan

Founder & Chairman

Sean graduated from the University of York and went on to work with several successful IT sector companies such as TEAMtalk.com, the Caudwell Group and Egg. In August 2003 he founded Webanywhere Ltd, and seven years later, Webanywhere, Inc in the USA.

Michal Woch

Operations Director

Michal played different roles in various IT departments for the last 21 years. Before he joined WebAnywhere he was working for different business verticals gaining experience from large corporations to start ups. A process driven person who translates business needs into IT implementations.

Steve Ding

Client Services Manager

Steve has been involved with training & recruitment, at both Corporate and SME level, throughout his career. Prior to Webanywhere, he was CEO of a business to business network, working with many small businesses to help them grow. Steve is General Manager of the UK office, overseeing human resources, customer service and compliance. He is also Chair of Governors at a local school.

Helen Thakkar

Finance Director

Helen is a chartered accountant (ICAEW) and has a wealth of experience working in Finance positions with a strong focus on commerciality and cost optimisation. Helen trained in Audit and Corporate Restructuring at Grant Thornton and has held roles at Asda, Capita, MPS and internationally in Hong Kong with Sainsburys Asia.

Ciaran Gilligan

Solutions/Project Delivery

Ciaran has been with Webanywhere since its creation in 2004, following graduation from the University of York where he studied Chemistry with French. Having fulfilled many roles over the years Ciaran operates between technical and business teams to deliver value to our clients.

Arthur Howie

Solutions Architect

Arthur has worked with web and mobile technology since 2002, with experience spanning product management, development, sales and service delivery. He works closely with our customers and our technical teams to make sure our solutions are successful and user-friendly.

Bhavisha Makani

Senior Project Manager

Bhavisha has over 15 years experience in Project Management in a vast variety of roles. She has provided exceptional customer service to clients all over the world. She is a problem solver, providing quality solutions with a track record of successful project delivery without any compromise. She has an adaptable and flexible approach to project management.

Andrew Tomkinson

Marketing Manager

Andrew brings 14 years of data-driven marketing and sales management experience to the team, leading the international growth strategy at Webanywhere. In the past he has worked in both B2B and B2C contexts spanning a range of sectors, as well as launching and exiting his own businesses. A natural problem solver and innovator, Andrew has a passion for entrepreneurship and all things business.
