Selling stylish and comfortable shoes since 1959, Hotter Comfort Concept Shoes are now the largest UK shoe manufacturer. They have over 700 retail employees and 76 outlets located throughout the UK including Ipswich, Cornwall, Glasgow and Northern Ireland.

Requirements

With having their retail staff spread out over such a wide area, Hotter needed a way to deliver identical, excellent training to every location. They needed modules for new starters and a way for line managers to view their teams’ progress. The solution needed to be easy to use so that all staff could follow and engage with the software.

After an extensive needs analysis consultation, Webanywhere’s Workplace eLearning experts determined that Totara Learn LMS would best serve Hotter’s requirements, which was then custom themed to match Hotter’s brand. Being official Totara Platinum partners, the Workplace team were able to configure the user interface to make it simple enough for all staff to run. Before assisting in the setup of the Totara induction / onboarding course, they provided in-depth consultancy on the course design and the development of content creation. The Workplace team helped to setup hierarchies for reporting, enabling managers to view the progression and results of store managers, retail customer advisors, etc. Webanywhere provided quality, comprehensive training on all aspects of Totara.

Hotter refer to their Totara as ‘Next Steps’ and their internal Totara gurus are known as ‘shoe-per heroes”.

The sales process was professional and Webanywhere took the time to fully understand our requirements. The delivery of the platform and the support during implementation from the Webanywhere team was exceptional.

One of the team was constantly available; no job was too much trouble and their knowledge of supporting software for course creation was vital to a successful launch. We have now rolled this out to the Retail Estate and have received great feedback. The next part of our roll out is to 150 members of staff in our Contact Centre.
